Our journey so far…

Brevity has a history of going off the beaten track. Founder and CIM Fellow, Kaia Vincent, launched our Hampshire marketing agency over a decade ago in response to client demand for something fresh and out of the ordinary; as a remedy for all things over-promised and under-delivered. From those roots, Brevity has expanded into a fully-skilled marketing team, creating original campaigns with real impact and delivering results for clients across a broad range of sectors including hospitality, charity, technology, security, recruitment, logistics, beauty & wellbeing, and luxury goods.

Meet the Brevity team 

Kaia Vincent FCIM – Director

Starting her career as an editor, Kaia worked in marketing management positions for 10 years prior to creating Brevity in 2010. She has provided both strategic and tactical marketing for SMEs across Hampshire, Berkshire and Surrey as well as bigger brands such as SPIE and Alzheimer’s Research. Kaia became a Fellow of the CIM in 2018, awarded for her level of marketing qualification and long-standing expertise in marketing at a senior level.

Kelly Cummins – Copywriter

Our wordsmith Kelly has 17 years diverse experience of creating compelling communications, having worked in a variety of marketing, PR and editorial roles with companies such as Macmillan, The AA, and Capita, where she was Senior PR Executive throughout the rebrand from CORGI to Gas Safe Register. Kelly worked on the ‘Gas and Cowboys Don’t Mix’ campaign which won a PRCA Award for Best Public Relations Campaign in the Public Sector and achieved national coverage including BBC Breakfast, ITV This Morning, BBC Watchdog, and Radio 1.

Samantha Alderman – Account and Client Services Manager

Samantha has over 15 years’ experience of working in digital media and marketing. Post university, Sam established her career in London working at media agencies Starcom Worldwide and PHD (Omnicom Media Group) starting as a Digital Media Executive and progressing onto further digital roles including Account Director, Buying Director and Social Media Director. Sam has worked across a range of clients, including Warner Bros. Sainsbury’s & Cadbury.


Jenny Legg – PR Manager

Jenny has been in media for more than 15 years, first as a journalist in local and national papers including the Times Educational Supplement, Daily Mirror and Mail Online before moving into PR and media relations. She also worked for Westminster City Council, the National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO) and the British Heart Foundation. Pitched and placed stories across a wide range of media including Radio 4’s Today programme and BBC Breakfast.

Lilly Steel – Marketing Executive & Website Developer

Lilly joined the Brevity team in 2017, after studying a BA (Hons) in English Language and MA in Digital Marketing at The University of Portsmouth. For the past two years Lilly has been involved in the design and development of WordPress websites for Brevity’s SME clients. Utilising her skills in copywriting, design and SEO (search engine optimisation), Lilly is able to develop and produce effective WordPress websites, that successfully deliver on your business needs, goals and objectives.

Ruth Lumley – PR Manager

Ruth has been a journalist for 18 years and worked on weekly and regional daily papers before moving to The Press Association, the UK and Ireland’s leading news agency. Her work has appeared in The Independent, The Guardian, The Sun, The Mirror, the Metro, Red Bull, Sky and BT.com. She is also on the board of trustees for a charity which works to alleviate the effects of poverty and disadvantage for families affected by low income, unemployment, mental and physical ill health.

Janine Hainey – Marketing Account Manager

Janine has over 10 years’ experience working as a Marketing Manager specialising in digital marketing communications. She studied the CIM level 4 Certificate in Professional Marketing in 2016 and was awarded MCIM status in 2020.

Janine has worked with a range of SMEs at a strategic level developing tactical marketing and lead generation campaigns, including developing optimised WordPress websites, email marketing, social media and setting up CRM databases.
