Marketing Strategy

A marketing strategy refers to a business’s overall game plan for reaching prospective consumers and turning them into customers. A marketing strategy will typically encompass multiple areas of marketing to ensure there is a holistic 360 approach to your marketing.

From refining your brand and tone of voice to utilising areas of marketing that are suitable for your business goals and needs, you tend to find marketing strategies include (but are not limited to), SEO (Search Engine Optimisation), email marketing, copywriting, content creation and design and social media management.

For more information on the marketing tactics we use here at Brevity, please take a look here.

The ultimate goal of a marketing strategy is to achieve and communicate a sustainable competitive advantage over rival companies by understanding the needs and wants of its consumers.

Marketing strategies help in developing goods and services with best profit making potential. A clear, well thought out strategy will help you  discover the areas affected by organisational growth, thereby helping you creating an step by step plan to not only engage with new customers and prospects but better cater to your current customer needs.

Content Marketing

Content marketing refers to the marketing that directly involves the creation and sharing of online materials such as blogs, case studies, press releases and videos. These materials do not sell your services as such but spark interest.

Content marketing is a fantastic way to improve conversions because it allows you to connect with and educate your leads, prospects and customers. You’re able to share your brand and corporate identity with your target audience and stimulate interest that with careful nurturing, turns into sales.

PPC is short for Pay Per Click.

Pay Per Click is a model of internet marketing in which advertisers pay a fee each time one of their ads is clicked. Google Ads are the most well known form of PPC.

While we don’t recommend you us PPC as a stand alone method of marketing, you can expect to utilise it’s abilities to help drive traffic to your website or increase your Google rankings for certain search terms.

We recommend utilising PPC when you want to push a certain service or product, therefore you can spend as much or little time on it as your budget allows.

Social Media

Social media for business is no longer optional,  it’s seen as an essential way to reach your customers, gain valuable insights, and grow your brand. However, not all social media platforms are right for businesses, it’s important to think about your corporate identity and where your target audience might be hiding…

The term social media marketing refers to the use of social media and social networks to market a company’s products and services, whether this be through LinkedIn, Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, Twitter, Facebook or LinkedIn.

Social media marketing can achieve many things for your business. It not only helps drive traffic to your website through carefully crafted content but can help your business reach more customers and it provides a valuable venue for better understanding and learning from your target audiences.

Search Engine Optimisation (or commonly referred to as SEO), is the process of improving the quality and quantity of website traffic to a website or a web page from search engines.

SEO activities do not generate instant results. SEO takes time and results can often start to be seen after 3-6 months+ of work.

Does running a race guarantee you’re a winner? Unfortunately not. The best way to look at SEO is to picture it as a race between all of your competitors. Being part of the race doesn’t mean you’re going to win (or generate good rankings) but, the more time and effort you put into training (or attention you give your SEO), the better chance you have of beating your competitors and generating rankings that are better than theirs.

PR & Media Relations

Simply put: Public relations develops the story. Media relations broadcasts it.

When done right, PR can raise the profile of a business and portray the business in a good light. It often shines light on a business who have important news to share with their industry and or sector (or in some cases, the world!).

With a bit of guidance and study, you should be able to manage simple press releases yourself. However, if your budget allows it, we recommend choosing a PR agency to help promote your brand. Why? because an agency will have access to a large network of publishers and media professionals, that are able to share your latest story.

Remember PR is all about getting people to know about who you are and what you do. Naturally, the more you put in, the more you’ll get out. So this one does come down to budget and time.
