Project Description


For their 20th anniversary year, our client CTS Group wanted to produce a charity calendar to give to their clients and suppliers, raising money for their chosen charity, whilst highlighting their long-standing position in the global logistics industry.

The calendar needed to resonate with staff and customers, set CTS apart from their competitors, and echo their strapline: ‘Dangerous, delicate, difficult – CTS Delivers’.


Calendars can often fall victim to the office recycling pile – not this one. Calling on our adventurous nature, balanced with our sharp organisational streak we:

  • explored imaginative ways to represent CTS’ skills through a series of ‘scenes’; each one showcasing an element of their expertise in transporting goods that are dangerous, delicate and difficult
  • drew on inspiration from blockbuster films such as Mission Impossible and Reservoir Dogs to take the project in an unexpected direction that would get noticed
  • created storyboards to define, plan and source settings, characters and props
  • managed a professional photoshoot including fire eaters, burlesque dancers, mermaids, safety harnesses, tutus – and a visit from Santa!
  • edited images with special effects
  • captioned images with entertaining copy
  • dealt with all print & production stages
  • promoted the charity calendar via social media and local news


Our calendar project with CTS utilised our expertise in campaign planning, photography and Photoshop, copywriting, PR and social media.

  • Over £300 was raised for charity
  • 12 months of CTS brand presence secured in customers offices across the UK
  • Recipients selected the CTS calendar as ‘calendar of the year’
  • Sales team were provided with new collateral
  • Local media & Twitter coverage e.g. the local paper reported on the shoot with the headline ‘Mermaid seen by the side of a lake in Aldermaston’
  • The photoshoot was a strong team building exercise for CTS staff
  • Images were multipurposed as office reception display material and shared over social media
